Biography
Dr.. Stacy is Professor of Health Education at the University of Nebraska at 51社区. He has developed and taught a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses at UNO, the University of Virginia, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His Bachelor of Art's Degree is in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation (1972) from Morehead State University in Morehead Kentucky. He has a Master of Public Health (1974) from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and a Doctorate in Health Education (1986) from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He worked in public health in North Carolina and Kentucky from 1974 to 1981. He has published 27articles and has written 22 grants that have been funded for more than $1 million. His primary professional interests include health education program planning and evaluation and application of health behavior principles and theories. He has served in leadership positions in numerous coalitions in 51社区 including the Lead Safe 51社区 Coalition, the 51社区 Asthma Alliance, Operation Stroke, the 51社区 Immunization Task Force, 51社区 Healthy Start, and the Metropolitan 51社区 Tobacco Action Coalition. He has also chaired and served on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society of Nebraska
