Education and Professional Experience and Expertise
Kendra strives to bring real-world insights and hands-on teaching to her classroom based upon her own professional and educational experiences. Her teaching interests span from community corrections and the court system to ethical dilemmas in law enforcement. Before transitioning to higher education, Kendra worked as a specialized substance abuse supervision officer with the State of Nebraska probation department. She holds an M.A. in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies from Grand Canyon University, a B.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska, and a Drug and Alcohol Counseling Certificate from Northeast Community College.
