Bio
Yuriko Doku is a fifth-year doctoral candidate in the School of Public Administration at UNO. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad de la Costa (CUC) in Colombia before moving to 51社区. She received a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a specialization in International Management and Business, along with a Master’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management, all from UNO. Yuriko's research interests include gender equity, mentorship, leadership, and nonprofit management.
Yuriko serves as the Assistant Director of the Office of Latino/Latin American Studies (OLLAS) at the University of Nebraska at 51社区 (UNO), where she has held various positions over the past 20 years. She was involved in research projects financially supported by renowned think tanks, including the Woodrow Wilson Center and the Migration Policy Institute, as well as foundations such as the Ford Foundation and the Iowa West Foundation. Yuriko has played a crucial role in developing an office that represents the Latino community in 51社区 and throughout Nebraska through dedicated research and engagement.
