Cascade CMS
Cascade is the university's content management system (CMS). Faculty and staff must complete training in Cascade before access will be granted and any edits can be made.
The CMS login can be accessed at for those who have unomaha.edu email addresses or an NUID and have been granted access by a site administrator. Access must be requested by the college's communicator or the person who has been selected as that site's web lead.
New users are added as an a contributor to Cascade and remain in that role for three (3) months. After the three-moth period has passed, the web lead may request the contributor be changed to an approver.
Cascade training is required prior to receiving access to Cascade CMS. Contact your web lead and they can help initiate training.
HubSpot
HubSpot is the official program for the implementation and delivery of several digital tools:
- Email marketing
- Social media management and publishing
- Live chat implementation and management
Email marketing training has transitioned from live training with the MarComm Digital Team to on-demand training through Bridge. All users may access this training at any time. If you do not currently have access to HubSpot Email and want to create and edit email, you must first complete the Bridge training and score at least a 80% on the quiz.
At this time, our university’s HubSpot user database has reached its current user allotment under our existing license. As a result, we are unable to accommodate additional user accounts. We recognize the importance of providing access to the platform and are actively evaluating options to ensure the system can meet campus needs in the future. We will communicate any updates as soon as they are available. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain compliance with our licensing agreement and ensure the integrity of our data systems.

Each piece can be exported as a PDF and emailed to authorized printers for final production or as a PNG or JPEG for use on web and digital formats.
College Communicators and other department leads have access to the tool and may grant access to additional units as appropriate. UNO has a limited number of licenses, so please reach out to your communicator or department lead to request access to your unit’s shared account.
For more information regarding Marq, please contact Angie Kennedy at angiekennedy@unomaha.edu.
Media and Public Relations
The Media Relations staff will sit down with you to share best practices, identify key messages, and conduct a practice interview. More rigorous training is available for sensitive topics that pose a reputational risk.
