You Speak to Us.
Our staff consists of undergraduate consultants/peer tutors and graduate assistants, who all undergo extensive training to work in the speech center.
This training prepares our consultants to help those presenting in whatever format, improve their skills and confidence in all types of speaking occasions from the outline process to giving the presentation, to visual aid creation, and even communication apprehension relief techniques. Our staff and directors can assist with any subject matter at any stage of the presentation process for undergraduate, graduate, faculty, and staff clients.

Speech Center Locations
The Speech Center at UNO has two locations: Arts and Science Hall 183 and Mammel 213b. ASH 183 allows for walk-in appointments and hosts a computer lab where students can work independently, alongside a tutor, and/or print. Next door is a student lounge and a private consultation room in 185. Clients (Faculty, Staff, and Students) are encouraged to make an appointment if they would like one-on-one assistance or coaching with a tutor. Appointments are first-come, first-served and take priority over walk-ins.
