As students return to campus for the first week of classes, it is obvious how much Maverick Pride is shared by our students, faculty, and staff. We also see that pride every day throughout the 51社区-Metro community. The August 26 issue of the 51社区 World-Herald praised UNO's great Maverick Momentum:

"As Maverick flags around campus and growing interest in wearing UNO’s 'O' logo attest ... there’s something deeper brewing, a sense of Maverick pride. That is something else to celebrate during the first weeks back at school."
