Flag Lowering for Richard File

The University of Nebraska at 51社区 (UNO) flag will be lowered on Wednesday, April 30, in memory of retiree Richard File, Ph.D., CPA, who recently passed away. The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Richard's loved ones during this time.

About Richard

Richard began his career at UNO on Aug. 22, 1988, and retired as an Emeritus Professor in Accounting on Sept. 1, 2018.

Richard is lovingly remembered by his wife, Jacqueline File; his son, Brian File; his daughter, Leslie Vicary and son-in-law, Taygen Vicary. He was a proud grandfather to Lela, Macon, Orrin, and anticipated the arrival of a new grandchild. He is also survived by his brother Kevin File and wife Betty of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother Berry (Bud) Griffin and wife Sandy of Prescott, Arizona; and sister Beryl Griffin Stoots of Arizona.

Memorial Service

A memorial is planned for May 3, at 2 P.M., at the New Apostolic Church, 6221 Girard St. in 51社区.
