The best way to find out is to review the guidelines for the program you want to apply for. Please visit the student funding page for an overview of our programs.
ORCA is not able to connect individual students with faculty at this time. We recommend starting with your advisor and asking if they know of any opportunities or faculty whose work is in line with your interests.
Keep an eye on your department website and Handshake for other paid student opportunities/jobs.
Please see the guidelines for the individual program you want to apply for.
We recommend students looking for additional funding for their scholarly work join to search for relevant opportunities. It is free to join with a UNO email address.
Please check the individual page of the program you are interested in. Updates are posted when programs close due to funding running out.
The best place to start is by talking to your potential mentor. If you are planning a project that will involve human subjects (including interviews), vertebrate animals, and/or biohazards, you may need to apply for research compliance approval or an exemption.
